this may be my favorite song to ever exist. i first heard it on my dad’s old iPod touch in middle school. it combines my favorite genres: rap and indie. so epic and so 2013. bring back the girl talk love!
INCREDIBLE Elvis Costello cover by the queen herself. her emotion and control is unreal. she just delivers every damn time…well except that new white savior song she came out with a month ago but we don’t talk about that
powerful man by Alex g is my favorite song and phoebe does such a beautiful job with it
This song was originally released in 2014 on Soundcloud , featured on her record “Whatever,Mom”. she was 19 years old when it was released! so cool
I first heard this awesome French cover of The Rolling Stones “Satisfaction” on WXNA 101.5 a few years ago. I love that you can hear her accent while she sings.
god I love frank ocean and man this song is so sexy. this whole album is good and such a shame its been removed from Spotify. I love when an already great song is sampled into something equally as great.
this 10 minute version of the gate by caroline polachek is heaven. so peaceful and beautiful. she is an angel on earth and so ahead of her time.
PTA’s first movie and what a great soundtrack. it’s so sleazy and awesome and then gets progressively eerier.i like walking around listening to the first few tracks feeling real cool and cryptic
other stuff
this song actually is on Spotify as #19 but it belongs with the monkeys and u can only find them on YouTube. I was sent this video by my old Chicago friend Liam I met in online in 2021.if ur seeing this hi Liam!
I’ve loved Flo Milli since Beef FloMix back in 2019 and she came out with this absolute banger only on Youtube. it’s super short and basically a rework of Throw Some D’s by Rich Boy. His self titled album was featured in the Ringer’s 20 best southern rap albums ever. She got his ass to direct and star in the music video it’s so epic. The last lyric “your bitch pussy loose and she ain’t got no walls” is so fucking funny.
I first heard clementoon at Foxwood in 2022- lmao what a throwback. I fell in love with her cover of black star and her song “Dixie Cup”.Her album Slunj is off of Spotify rn but here’s the band camp link. One of the best things about growing up in Nash is knowing about awesome bands b4 they are big(or ones who deserve to be)
found this website called “The Listening Post Blog” while searching for more info on Joyce Heath. An artist I recently found and obsessing
Here is a link to a huge spreadsheet grouping all of Charli’s unreleased music by date and album. It is super awesome- shoutout random on reddit.
